Tauck And Ken Burns Reveal First Co-Designed Itinerary

NORWALK, CT (November 2, 2010) An in-depth, 10-day tour exploring six iconic National Parks of the southwestern U.S. will be the first new itinerary designed by filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan in collaboration with leading tour operator Tauck, it was announced today. Besides leveraging Tauck’s extensive experience in the region, the new itinerary will incorporate Burns’s and Duncan’s insider knowledge and draw on the filmmakers’ extensive network of local experts amassed during the decade they spent making their widely acclaimed documentary, “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.” Tauck will operate the new tour, “Spirit of the Desert: The National Parks of the Southwest,” beginning in May of next year with departures running through October.

NORWALK, CT (July 13, 2010)  Norwalk-based travel company Tauck has once again been ranked as one of the “World’s Best” by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.  Tauck, an 85-year-old leader in premium-quality guided land journeys and cruises, was named by Travel + Leisure’s readers to the magazine’s annual list of the “World’s Best Tour Operators & Safari Outfitters” and to its list of the “World’s Best River Cruise Lines.”  This is the 13th consecutive year that Tauck has been included on the tour operators list, and the second consecutive year it’s been honored for its European river cruises.  The “World’s Best” lists are generated by an annual readers survey conducted by Travel + Leisure, and the 2010 survey results appear in the magazine’s August issue.
